The best barn find buys at the Practical Classics Restoration and Classic Car Show.
But not all of the PC Restoration Show classics needed tons of TLC
It wasn’t solely about the projects, although Silverstone Auctions’ visit to the Practical Classics Restoration & Classic Car Show saw a few needing-attention motors offered and finding enthusiastic new homes.
But in addition to the classics that would require skills, patience and funds to get them going under their own steam again, there was a good selection of cars at the NEC event for the punter who simply wanted to jump in and drive away.
Among these was lovely Ferrari 412i, one of the nicest in an auction for a long time. Then there was a restored Ford Escort RS2000 Custom and for those who like their cars big, a 1959 Cadillac saloon in six-light form.
Held just a week after Silverstone’s Race Retro sale the results were a good reward for the clearly hard-working team: 75% of cars were sold, making a total of £1.5 million. The busy auction house’s next sale is back on its home turf on 21 May at Silverstone Circuit, Northants. 01926 691141 www.silverstoneauctions.com
