Brooklands’ day for BMC’s baby
WEYRBRIDGE, SURREY, 3 APRIL
Brooklands is expecting to welcome more than 800 Minis this weekend for a one-day event.
More than 30 clubs are expected to bring their classics to the historic circuit, including the Elf and Hornet Register, Mini Cooper Register, Mini Marcos Owners’ Club and Scamp Owners’ Club.
Mini devotees will get the chance to pit their cars against Brooklands’ gruelling Test Hill and to take them onto the circuit’s banking for photographs. There’ll also be plenty of trade stands, so it’s well worth having a look around for bits for your BMC baby.
The event takes place between 9am and 5pm, with admission at 8.30am for pre-booked ticket holders, and it’s open to both the Issigonis-designed Minis and later BMW-era models. Those taking part are asked to enter via the Campbell entrance off Brooklands Roads, with spectators parking in The Heights near Wellington Way.
