More on Manumatics
I read with much interest the letters about Manumatic transmission in the 9, 16 and 23 March issues. After my first car – a gorgeous Sunbeam MkIII – was stolen In 1969, I bought a Hillman Minx Series III for £50, only to find it was equipped with Manumatic gears.
I soon got used to two-pedal driving and it worked a treat: smooth and hard to fault. Like any self-respecting nerd, I still have The Motor road test reports of several Manumatic models, with a full rundown of the driving experience. It was available from new
