Club Expo is a hugely important opportunity for the nation’s clubs to take stock of the issues affecting how we enjoy our classics. It’s great to see hot topics like the shortage of parts and social media coming up in this year’s seminars – and what works for the Ford Y and C Model Register and Stag Owners’ Club will doubtless work for other clubs too, so it’s encouraging that these top tips are being shared so we can all benefit.

But what’s really important is the launch of the National Historic Vehicle Survey, which if anything like the expected 22,000 classic owners get involved with will give the results real clout with the decision makers in both Westminster and Brussels.

If you care about what you’re permitted to do with your classic and where you’re allowed to take it, then get involved and complete the survey – for the sake of 10 minutes you’ll help the classic car movement win legislative battles for years to come.
