Whatever you’re doing on Drive-It Day – taking your classic to the shops or going to a show – send us your pictures.
ACROSS THE UK, SUNDAY 24 APRIL
We’re offering you the chance to get your classic into our special super-sized Drive-it Day edition of CCW. All you have to do is send in a snap of you enjoying it on Drive-It Day, and we’ll do the rest.
To show our support for the nation’s biggest celebration of classics we’re going to print the first 500 pictures we receive of you with your cars from events taking place across the country on 24 April.
The Federation of British Vehicle Clubs says it is expecting a record turnout this year, with as many as 250,000 vehicles taking part. This year’s Drive-It Day is also being given international recognition as part of World Motoring Heritage Year.
The British Motor Museum, the National Motor Museum, Bicester Heritage and Brooklands Museum are all holding major events on Drive-It-Day, but there are also scores of other meet-ups, runs and gatherings across the UK. Keep an eye out for our 20 April issue, when we’ll be giving you a lowdown of the best of the Drive-It Day events across Britain.
You don’t need to go to an organised event to take part in CCW’s Drive-It Day 500. Just send us a photo of you enjoying your classic car on the day.
‘Drive-it Day is important for every one of us. It’s the perfect opportunity to show the rest of the world how important our classic cars are to us, and how much enjoyment they can bring,’ says editor Keith Adams. ‘I can’t wait to see your pictures from the big day – so much so, that we’re going to make extra room in our 27 April issue for all of those fantastic images. There’ll be loads on CCW’s social media, too.’
