Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Longbridge Classics To Be Proud Of -

The British car that really brought affordable motoring to the masses, the Seven put Longbridge on the map. the Austin Seven was just that. This baby saved the Austin Motor Company and Longbridge, and was also the first truly affordable British car to buy and run. For virtually the price of a motorcycle combination came a car capable of 50 – and that figure is for both mph and mpg. Very much a scaled-down larger machine than a cheaply-built piece of austerity, the Seven was available in everything from ‘Top Hat’ saloon form to sporty Ulster two-seater.
