CLASSIC CAR BOOT SALE
kiNG’s CrOss, lONDON, 16-17 aPril
This two-day event in the heart of London added classics for sale to the mix of vintage stalls and period costumes that’s proven a hit for Wayne Hemingway’s boot sale events.
More than 25,000 people packed into Lewis Cubitt Square in King’s Cross on each of the two days to see the 200 vehicles on show, 15 of which were up for sale in an indoor pavilion adjacent to the vintage fashion stalls in the outdoor display area. Among the classics for sale was a 1957 Hillman Minx Series I convertible and a 1978 Morris Marina converted into a campervan by Devonbased specialist Torcars, and a Italianmarket left-hand-drive Fiat 500.
Organiser Wayne Hemingway is now preparing for his first Classic Car Boot sale north of the border, taking place in Glasgow on 6-7 August. Rachel Johnston
