SENSIBLE ESTIMATES REEL THEM IN
That, and a refreshing change from a supermarket carpark size number of auction lots
Charterhouse’s sale might have seemed small after ACA’s massive auction just a few days earlier, but there were still a good number of tempters who would have been reeled in by sensible estimates.
The well-presented Ford Capri 2.8i and Austin-Healey 3000 vied for star lot spot, but both sold for good, on-the-money sums. An early MkII Ford Escort van was an unusual offering, as was the 1925 Morris Cowley, again both of which sold.
This wasn’t a bad sale, and for many a smaller number of lots made a refreshing change for the almost-obligatory supermarket-style car park numbers. Charterhouse’s next sale is on 19 June, again at the Royal Bath and West Showground.
