Rolls-Royce Phantom IV

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Driven -

One of the more exclusive vehicles on the road in post-war Britain, 18 Phantom IVs were sold to heads of states and members of royal families. The then Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip used an IV with coachwork by HJ Mulliner as their private car but on HM’s succession to the throne in 1952 it was reclassified as state transport. As such, it was sent Hooper & Co where it was reupholstered and given a new paint finish in Royal Claret and black. Today, it is the oldest member of the Royal Fleet.
