More than 140 nearly extinct classics will be alive and well at the Grampian Transport Museum this Sunday.
Alan Norrie’s Opel Commodore A Coupé, Gordon Masson’s 1975 Lotus Esprit S1 and Dominik Walicki’s exPolish Army UAZ 469b are among the entrants at the event, inspired by the How Many Left? car data website. CCW will be there too, with web producer Calum Brown bringing his Saab 9000 Aero along for the day.
Last year’s inaugural event went down well with visitors, and is now hoping for an even bigger gathering of what it calls ‘forgotten classics’. Marketing manager Martyn Smith says: ‘It’s a celebration of the endangered cars which were once a common sight on the roads. The event, highlights cars that were at one-time mass produced but of which there are now less than 500.’ www.gtm.org.uk
