THE SHOW STARS REVEAL THEIR MOTORING HEROES:

-

MIKE BREWER

‘My motoring hero is Sir Stirling Moss. He once told me a fantastic story about doing the Mille Miglia where his co-driver was being sick in his helmet, yet Stirling was like a giddy teenager. He’s still as passionate about cars and driving now as he was when he was competing. He’s an inspiration. Not just for motoring, but on how to embrace life.’

EDD CHINA

‘I’d struggle cutting it down to one. All of my motoring heroes are the great designers – Harley Earl at General Motors, Buckminster Fuller with the Dumaxion Car, Gordon Murray with the boundary pushing McLaren F1 and T25, and Frank Stephenson with the new Mini, Fiat 500, Ferrari and current McLaren designer.’

ANT ANSTEAD

‘Ted Cutting is one of the great unsung heroes. He built Aston’s only Le Mans winner basically in a shed from loads of left over parts! When he left Aston he did the Capri, or a major part of it. Very clever bloke and too often overlooked.’
