1937 Bentley 4½-litre Tourer
It wasn’t immaculate, but the ex-Alan Clark MP’s 4¼-litre Bentley tourer, which began life as a Mulliner-bodied saloon, was just about right. Paint was good, but had aged, while the body was in straight, tidy order. Externally it was pretty much there. Inside things got better, with seats, carpet and dashboard in extremely good condition. Great for regular use, and perhaps some competition too.
