Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Buying Guide -

Len and Ann bought their MGC GT 10 years ago to replace the MGB GT they’d acquired a couple of years before. Says Len: ‘I saw the advert in Classic Car Weekly and I could tell it was just what we wanted. I fancied upgrading from the B to something a bit more unusual and a bit perkier, but I didn’t want to lose the B’s practicality. The C is so usable that it’s been to Europe on lots of occasions. It can easily swallow the two of us with our luggage. That’s why we do so many tours and events with the MG Owners’ Club, which we support enthusiastically. Since buying the C I’ve had to have it rewired and the gearbox has had a rebuild along with the servo and starter motor. It’s now clocked up 100,000 miles. We can’t fault our C as it’s easy and enjoyable to drive, parts availability is brilliant and it’s an excellent cruiser for long trips.’
