We preview MGLive!, Coventry Motofest and a spectacular event at Tatton Park.
CLASSIC & PERFORMANCE CAR SPECTACULAR
TATTON PARK, CHESHIRE WA16 6QN, 4-5 JUNE
More than 2500 classics will be forced to squeeze into the grounds of Tatton Park when one of the North of England’s biggest car shows marks its 30th anniversary.
Cheshire Auto Promotions (CAP) has confirmed all display spaces have been taken by clubs and individual classic owners wanting to take part in the two-day show. So, clubs are also being encouraged to swap their vehicles overnight to vary the displays.
There’ll be more than 200 stands to trawl though at the autojumble and this is yet another classic car event that’s latched on to the power of the automart – a place to buy and sell cars – with more than 30 vehicles expected to be up for sale here.
CAP’s Stuart Holmes says: ‘We allocated our last spaces at Tatton Park a week or so ago, so it’s definitely a sell-out show. There are going to be some big club displays and plenty of privately-entered classics on both days, so it should be a really spectacular event... if a little crowded.’
Among the more sizeable stands from the 90 clubs taking part are those presented by the Jaguar Drivers’ Club, Mercedes-Benz Club and TR Register.
Tameside Car Collectors’ stand last year – it’ll be back.
