Paris has been through the wars recently, and I’d encourage tourists into the city by completely lifting the ban on all foreign cars, regardless of age.

JAMES SADLIER MANAGING EDITOR

DeLorean DMC-12s obviously! They’re too few in number to trouble the city’s pollution campaigners, and you can get an electric version too!

GERVAIS SEYMOUR PRODUCTION EDITOR

My own car, obviously. And probably those of close friends and family. There’d be no point in being Mayor of Paris if you couldn’t take a little avantage.

CALUM BROWN ASSOCIATE EDITOR

Unless they want to be invaded again, they should just drop this ridiculous ban. My 1995 Saab pollutes just as much as a 1998 variant, so what’s the point?

MURRAY SCULLION NEWS EDITOR

Anything made by Alpine should be waved through the checkpoints. Banning an A110 just wouldn’t be French, somehow. I’d like to see and hear a lone TVR permitted to roam the Parisian streets, reminding all these zero emissions campaigners what proper cars sound like.

RICHARD BARNETT MARKETS EDITOR

A Citroën DS or CX, naturally. Such distinctly French designs are just intended to have the Eiffel Tower lurking in the background.

LEISE ENRIGHT OFFICE MANAGER

As long as my Mini’s allowed into Paris for shopping trips to stock up on Chanel perfume, I’ve no qualms with the French!
