So, that’s it. Last week, we as a na­tion voted to leave the EU. The die is cast, and the re­crim­i­na­tions are com­ing in thick and fast. But now is not the time for search­ing for scape­goats, or cry­ing like a child – we need to keep calm, carry on, and re­mem­ber that Bri­tain didn’t stop be­ing Great overnight.

That said, ac­cord­ing to our straw poll of clas­sic car deal­ers (pages 4-5) the forth­com­ing change in our con­sti­tu­tion doesn’t spell doom at all. We’re a na­tion of traders, and that’ll con­tinue go­ing for­wards. And if the value of the pound ad­justs to a more per­ma­nent lower level, the chances are that many of the imported clas­sics that came our way in re­cent years may well end up flood­ing back out again at a tidy profit.
