All the mod cons
We all are used to preparing our classics for shows and comparing one with another, but do we compare our classic daily drivers in the same way? I look for as good a spec as I can find for this type of car, as it has to compete with modern traffic conditions all the time, as well has offer maximum comfort.
On this basis, I chose a car with the following spec: auto gearbox, power Your Letters, The Editor, CCW, After reading the 15 June issue, I felt I had to write. On page two, we had Sir Greg Knight saying 40-year-old cars should be spared the MoT.
I disagreed with stopping MoTs and still think that all cars should be tested at a minimum of three years regardless of their age. I’m aware most classic car owners look after their cars, as I do, but they should still be tested. So reopen the MoT stations that have closed and put the staff back in employment.
