new carfest for Mgs
A long-established MG dealer is holding its own Carfest for all examples of the marque and other classics on 18 September.
WH Brand Ltd of Holbeach Drove, Lincs, was established in 1925 and a Singer specialist before switching to Austin in 1957. It also started selling MGs and continues to do so today.
Spokesman Martyn Brand says: ‘We still have many customers with MG Rover-era and earlier cars ,and we are X-part dealers too. We’ve always been enthusiasts and have been building up our own collection, so decided to hold the first of what we hope will be an annual social event. We are very much looking forward to it.
‘All MGs and related Rover, BL and Austin models and kit-cars using their engines will be welcome, and visitors will be able to try some new MGs, as long as people bring their licence!’ Proceeds from the event will be given to the East Anglian Air Ambulance Charity.
