Studio 434 expands

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

The Hertfordshire museum and classic vehicle storage facility Studio 434 is to open a £5 million new-build site close to its original Potters Bar centre.

This will create 200,000sq ft of space for 400 cars and motorcycles. Entrepreneur Richard Dudding has operated Studio 434 for seven years.

He tells CCW: ‘I have been in the classic car collection business for more than 40 years and the demand for our services since we launched the storage facility has always exceeded supply. The consistent growth in the classic car collection here is reflective of increased disposable income by a wide segment of the population and that is further enhanced by the current abysmal returns for their money in the bank.’

Studio 434 charges £45 a week per vehicle with a minimum of three months storage. All vehicles are kept on trickle charge and fully covered if required, and can be taken out for an exercise run every eight weeks on request. The business has in-house engineers for basic vehicle checks and routine servicing.
