A unique 1946 Daimler DB18 ‘woody’ is being offered at auction next month.
Fitted with a 2.5-litre straight six engine, this Daimler’s body is understood to be a one-off work by London-based prestige coachbuilders Barker & Co.
Estimated at £15,000-18,000, the shooting brake has recently had the ash frame replaced. It will appear in the Charterhouse auction on Sunday, 6 November at the Footman James Bristol Classic Restoration Show, at Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
Also in the sale from the same vendor is a 1972 Rover P5B coupe that was driven by Richard Hammond in an episode of Top Gear (£15,000-18,000). www.charterhouse-auction.com
