‘EJ’ signs up for L-B
Eddie Jordan is competing in the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run on 6 November. The former racer team owner and now
Top Gear presenter will drive a 1902 Benz Spider, one of two cars being entered by Mercedes-Benz Classic.
The Spider was originally found buried under a pile of coal in Ireland. Manuel Müller from M-B Classic says: ‘It is a fitting vehicle for Eddie. Jordan’s F1 team included German drivers such as Michael Schumacher, Ralf Schumacher and Heinz-Harald Frentzen, who all have links to Mercedes-Benz.’
This year’s event will mark the 130th anniversary of the invention of the car and will pay tribute to both Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz. www.veterancarrun.com
