Wedding fleet wrecked in fire

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - THIS WEEK -

An entire fleet of classics was wiped out when a fire devastated a wedding car business back in February.

Ten cars, including a 1962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and a 1950 Bentley, were destroyed when the blaze ripped through the premises of Classic Wedding Cars Peterborough. Owner Melvin Dolby was taken to hospital with a suspected heart attack and wife Sue suffered from the effects of smoke inhalation following the fire on the night of 8 February.

Since then the company has been running with a fleet of six classics, and Melvin and Sue have focused on repairing their house, which was also damaged in the blaze. They’re also planning on setting up garages for the cars in the new year.
