Paris-Dakar ...and back
An iconic diesel engined Paris-Dakar racer has been restored from a rusting wreck back into a racing car, exactly 30 years since it was last seen in public. The 4x4 Patrol was discovered in a Spanish museum in 2014, and has been rebuilt by Nissan engineers as a passion project – at evenings and weekends. Technicians working for Nissan chanced upon images of the car on an internet forum and convinced the manufacturer to buy it back.
Fanta anyone? The Patrol in its element.
