These cars can really rot so watch out for corrosion on sills, floorpans, wings, boot, bootlid and door bottoms. Try to examine a car on a ramp if you can.
Mechanicals aren’t too much of a problem and most parts are available. B-series engines can suffer from bearing and tappet wear, and watch out for worn gearboxes and trunnions.
Used trim, both interior and exterior, can be difficult to find. If you’re thinking of rechroming or replacing, don’t forget there is a lot of chrome on these cars.
