Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - DRIVING -

the range rover is a superb all-rounder, and a big factor in its favour both on and off the beaten track is the upfor-anything nature of that 3.5-litre V8 engine. it’s reliable, characterful and well-suited to the rangie. the four-door models that followed much later on in the car’s lifetime are comfier and easy to live with on a day-to-day basis, but if you’re looking for a classic that’ll be welcomed into virtually every show and tackle the inevitable muddy field on the way out without getting stuck, then it’s hard to beat the twodoor original. We love it.
