Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - BUYING & SELLING - KEITH MARTIN

Keith, who is vice chairman of The Classic Car Club of Hong Kong and owns a number of British classics, has added a Ferrari to his collection. He says: ‘I’d always wanted one but it had to be able to carry golf clubs and luggage, so the Mondial was perfect. Mine’s a 1990 3.4 T that I bought last summer from UK specialist, Rardley Motors. It was in superb condition and had had a service and cambelt change before I took delivery, so the first thing I did was to take it on a 4600-mile tour around Europe, driving through France, Spain, and Portugal. It behaved perfectly, and the ice-cold air-conditioning was very welcome. Apart from a fuse problem early on (which hasn’t reoccurred), it has been completely reliable. I live in Hong Kong but often travel to the UK where the car is based and it started on the first turn of the key when I drove it recently, despite it not being used for a few months.

‘It’s a car I aim to use as much as possible, so I’m planning a longer trip with it this summer. It’s great for touring and I’m extremely impressed with how inherently robust it feels.’
