RACHELE TAGART

Says Omagh-based Rachele: ‘My grandmother owned a 126 which she gave to me. I learned to drive in it, then passed my driving test in it, before selling it on – something I always regretted doing. I met my husband in 2009 and set about trying to track down my old Fiat, but it had disappeared. I really wanted a car sold new in Ireland and found this 1989 126 Bis three years ago; I snapped it up and christened her Betty. She’s completely standard and has done just 32,000 miles. I love driving her. I’ve only ever seen one other Fiat 126 in my life – I don’t think many were sold in Ireland.’
