Campers’ crowdfunded storybook

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

A crowd-funded book has been published documenting the heritage of the Volkswagen campervan community through owners’ personal stories. The book – Home Is Where You Park – is the result of a project by Curiosity Creative, a storytelling organisation based in North Shields, Tyne and Wear.

The project received funding both from the Heritage Lottery Fund and members of the UK’s VW campervan community to help make it happen.

‘I own a 1977 T2 so I know how passionate VW camper owners are about their vehicles,’ says Alex Henry, founder of Curiosity Creative.

In addition to the book, digital stories have also been recorded that are to be archived by the National Motor Museum. Digital stories can be viewed online at www.curiositycreative.org.uk
