When it comes to com­pe­ti­tion cars, his­tory is all, and this 1968 Chevro­let Camaro re­versed the ‘Great Bri­tish In­va­sion’ ear­lier in the decade, when bands from Blighty took the USA by storm. The suc­cess of Amer­i­can cars on Bri­tish cir­cuits, be­gan in 1963 with Ford Gal­ax­ies in the hands of Jack Sears and Sir Gawaine Bai­ley. Gen­eral Mo­tors ar­rived at the same time, and while the Gal­ax­ies were pen­sioned off, sal­va­tion was found in cars like this Camaro which was pre­pared for the 1970 sea­son, and driven by Roy Pier­point. It’s ready for more ac­tion.
