‘Watch as the rare modern classics fly’

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week - WAYNE LAMPORT STONE COLD CLASSICS

‘Models we will be watching in 2017 are those that have had a period in the doldrums. Prime examples are 996 Porsche 911s and early Boxsters, E36 BMW M3s, Volkswagen Corrados (particularly the VR6) and Mitsubishi Starions. Anything that was good in its day but is now virtually extinct will be a good buy. ‘Cars we see slipping are traditional classics, such as the Jaguar E-type, that have risen sharply despite there being many good examples on the market. ‘ The reason for this is the shift in demographic. Traditional classics are bought by older generations, but customers in their 30s-50s want cars from the 1970s-1990s, hence huge recent prices for RS Cosworths, etc.’
