1985 BENTLEY MULSANNE

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Buying & Selling -

This was perhaps a car only for the brave, but this delightfully scruffy Bentley Mulsanne was just the ticket for anyone wanting to make an imposing entrance down at the Dog and Duck or the local point-to-point. The auctioneers said around two grand had been spent on it 8000 miles ago, and it was presented with a year-long MoT test. What it really needed was a serious tidy-up – some crude welding at the rear of the offside sill was visually offensive and the Everflex roof covering was lifting in places. It wasn’t too bad inside, other than (unsurprisingly) the once smart wooden door cappings, whose varnish had clearly disappeared a long time ago. Someone (probably) did well to drive this imposing bottle-green barge away for less than £2200.
