Preview: toys & Models collectors’ sale, lacy scott & knight, Bury st edmunds, suffolk, 18 February

While it is usually rare diecast models that make the headlines at toy sales, there are some pleasing alternatives to the products of the better known manufacturers. One such example is the attractive Victory Models Austin Cambridge A40/50 saloon. In chunky 1:18th scale, the Victory Cambridge has a plastic body, tinplate interior, and is battery powered. LSK has a pleasing pale blue with cream interior version in its first Toys & Models Collectors’ Sale of the year at Bury on Saturday 18 February. The original period box is a bit battered but adds nostalgic charm, while the model is missing a few bits and pieces such as the front numberplate and flying A bonnet badge, but nonetheless it is worthy of its £60-90 estimate. www. lskauctioncen
