1937 MG TA
One of the mainstays of what became the traditional British sports car movement, what the TA lacked in straight line top speed was more than compensated for with handling. Able to nudge the speedometer needle perilously close to 80mph, the TA laid down the foundations for subsequent MG models, although the post-war cars have in many ways overshadowed the earlier products. Barons’ car is said to have had a nut-and-bolt restoration in the 1990s and seen little use since. In superb order and driving like it’s ready for plenty of Spring motoring.
