WHAT TO PAY CONCOURS £10,000

EXCELLENT £8000 USABLE £5000 PROJECT £2500 Style and substance. A superb ride. Impressive kit. Speed. This German coupé is intimidatingly good compared to most cars of this era, and in 2017 it turns more heads than ever. Values have increased sharply recently, but it’s still well worth looking at.

The 6-series made its debut in 1976, in 630CS and 633CSi forms. Early cars were built by Karmann and power for the 633CSi came from a 3210cc 200bhp straight-six engine. By 1978 the 635CSi had arrived, powered by a 218bhp 3453cc engine. M635CSi aside, this is the most desirable of the bunch.
