Jaguar Mk2 stolen from show car park

Own­ers of a Jaguar Mk2 are ap­peal­ing for help af­ter their pride and joy was stolen from out­side a show.

Vicky Butcher and John Wright were at the Ca­role Nash MCN Lon­don Mo­tor­cy­cle Show at the Ex­Cel in Lon­don on 18 Fe­bru­ary when the Jaguar was taken from the car park.

In a post on Facebook, John wrote: ‘My beloved Mk2 Jaguar was stolen at 2pm from the Ex­Cel Cen­tre in East Lon­don dur­ing the Mo­tor­cy­cle Live show. If you see it, please pho­to­graph it. This car is very dear to me.’

A spokesper­son for the Metropoli­tan Po­lice says: ‘Po­lice were called at 15:57 on Satur­day 18 Fe­bru­ary to re­ports that a car had been stolen from Ex­Cel Lon­don. The owner of the car, a dis­tinc­tive blue 1964 Jaguar Mk2, parked the ve­hi­cle in the venue’s car park at around 11:00.

‘When he re­turned to the car park later that af­ter­noon the car was gone. Of­fi­cers at­tended the scene and es­tab­lished that the car was driven out of the car park at 14:38. No ar­rests have been made and en­quiries con­tinue.’
