Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - BUYING & SELLING -

With these cars now three decades old, a thorough check for tin worm is advised, preferably on a ramp so you can examine around the rear suspension turrets, where problems often start. Corrosion can be hard to spot so have a good poke around as it’ll spread to the rear wheel arches with expensive consequences. The front wings, door bottoms and sills resist rot quite well but check for tell-tale bubbling anyway, along with the front and rear screen surrounds and the edges of the tailgate.
