Graphogen Assembly Compound £33.50

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - THIS WEEK -

Graphogen proclaims to the world that its product has ‘stood the test of time!’ And it really has – the assembly compound lube was developed at the end of the Second World War. It was used widely in the assembly and bedding-in of aircraft engines and you can use it on your classic too! Illustrious users of this product include Rolls-Royce and Lotus.

The lubricant gives protection when running-in all types of precision machinery, and provides an excellent safeguard against potential rubbing or scuffing of metal components. In essence, its blend of ingredients forms a film on all treated engine parts. Best of all, once the engine is up to temperature, it simply dissolves into the engine oil, and the job is done. The paste is extremely black because of it high graphite content.

It’s easy to apply via brush or finger, which is helpful as you’ll need to apply it liberally. As a bonus, it doesn’t even smell too bad.
