1991 BMW ALPINA B12
Anyone looking for a proper GT that’s not a Ferrari struck lucky at Stoneleigh – this was a practical, usable and rare alternative. Only five righthand drive B12s were built out of a production run of 97. Sold new through Sytner Nottingham, its history file was described as ‘impressive’ and it was a clearly well cared-for motor. Good paint, great bodywork and a nicely mellowed interior all added up to an interesting, tempting grand tourer that was arguably at least as appealing as any Ferrari in the same sale.
