1980 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER SPIRIT

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Buying & Selling -

Think of Silver Spirits at auction and scruffy white carriage trade examples spring to mind. But find a very good one like this and it’s possible to see the Shadow successor in a much more positive light. Historics’ car ticked all the boxes, being a very early (and consequently cleaner-lined) model. But there was further encouragement, the most pleasing being its one-owner status. That owner was had good taste, specifying claret paint with black Everflex roof and cream hide interior. The bodywork was just about flawless, being free of even the tiniest scratch or dent, the Everflex as new and the brightwork gleaming. The deep red paint was shiny in the way Royces of this period were when new, while the interior was nigh-on perfect – even the driver’s seat appeared never to have been sat in. So tempting – try finding another as good as this one for the money.
