WHY I LOVE MY MAESTRO

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Buying & Selling -

Nick, who worked at Rover Group during the 1990s and had Montegos as company cars, chose the extra practicality of a hatchback when he fancied reminiscing in 2015. ‘My Maestro 2.0 EFi has done 110,000 miles, but it’s been really well looked after. It’s reckoned to be the only 2.0 EFi left with a working talking dash. It’s just the kind of car I like; one that used to be everywhere but which is now almost extinct. Apart from the odd bit of attention to the body and paint the car is completely original; now it gets used occasionally for shows, including various BL and Rover days. It’s great to own and drive. Perhaps the only frustration with it is that parts supply can be patchy, but you can usually track things down through the club, which is full of people who have hoarded parts over the years.’
