1991 RANGE ROVER CSK
Only 200 limited edition CSK Range Rovers were built and examples with a manual gearbox are even rarer, so buyers looking for a three-pedal model needn’t have looked any further. Number 153 had been through the hands of seven owners but this was no dog-eared, down on its bumpstops example, but rather one that had received a nut-and-bolt restoration with a 4.6-litre engine. Costing £115,000, that restoration was just about spot-on, with superb bodywork and commensurate panel fit, topped-off with deep, lustrous paint. The underside was equally fine and the interior was ultra-smart and had no signs of wear. The bigger-displacement V8 featured performance camshafts, driving through A new-old stock gearbox and transfer box, while the suspension was upgraded with polyurethane bushes. Just right, and far better value than a much more expensive brand-new model.
