Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

1 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Townshend and Shaw take on a famous German car belonging to a petrolhead who bought it as a restoration project. Unfortunately when he suffered a heart attack the task of getting the Mercedes back into shape was too much for him and the iconic car was left abandoned. 2 Fiat Dino Fuzz and Tim attempt to get a 1971 Fiat Dino back on the road. The restoration was put on hold when its owner was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer. Now it’s up to them to bring the rusty Dino back to its best. 3 Jaguar Mk2 A race against the clock to secretly restore an owner’s beloved Jag. Neglected for two decades, it’s a tough challenge. Can they fix it up without him knowing? 4 Aston Martin DB6 Tim and Fuzz meet an enthusiast whose health problems have left him unable to restore his beloved Aston Martin. Can they surprise him by secretly getting it back on the road? 5 Renault 5 GT Turbo Fuzz and Tim take on this legendary 1980s French hot hatch. The car’s owner was part way through a full restoration when he was struck down with serious organ failure, meaning his beloved GT ended up as an unfinished project. 6 Fiat 500 Tim and Fuzz tackle an Italian icon: a 1967 Fiat 500, their smallest car maybe, but one of their biggest challenges. A series of family tragedies meant that the car’s owner could not bring himself to restore the car and that’s where the Car SOS boys come in. 7 Sunbeam Alpine This car’s owner is a former mechanic who bought it specifically to restore during his retirement years. But after suffering a severe brain injury he is now severely disabled and unable to continue working on the car. Tim and Fuzz use all their motoring knowhow – and not a little shameless parts-blagging guile – to get the car back on the road for one of Car SOS’s most deserving owners. 8 Caterham Seven The car belongs to a devoted husband and father who often took his Caterham on track days to fulfil his need for speed. But when his wife was diagnosed with cancer his priorities changed completely. Caring for his wife and three children took up all of his time and his beloved two-seater track car was left alone to deteriorate in a garage. 9 Austin Utility Truck Fuzz admits that this truck is his favourite. But can he get away with taking something so large away from its owner without him noticing? 10 Mazda RX7 Even by Fuzz’s own admission in last week’s How Stuff Works, the rotary engine is a complex beast. Has this one bested him? *subject to change
