CV joints wear, but aren’t costly or dif­fi­cult to re­place; lis­ten for click­ing as the car is mov­ing on full lock. Chat­ter­ing as the car cor­ners is likely down to worn wheel bear­ings; these are cheaply and eas­ily re­placed though. The Mae­stro used var­i­ous VW and Honda gear­boxes – the gearchange on the for­mer can be vague, but the gear­boxes them­selves tend to last well.
