thursday 30 March @8PM, National Geographic Channel

In case you missed our exclusive look at Car SOS’s latest series (15 March issue), CCW’s own master mechanic, Fuzz Townshend and partner in crime, Tim Shaw are back, helping those in need with their classic cars. In episode three of series five, Fuzz and Tim take on their most expensive project in the series, and maybe their most rewarding. The pair meet oil worker Steve, who has owned his Aston Martin DB6 for more than 20 years. It was his pride and joy, but his attempts to repair it when it broke down failed. Since then a serious fall and chronic health problems have taken their toll and restoring the British classic is now out of his reach. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Fuzz struggles with an engine that hasn’t turned over in 20 years and Tim does his best to source notoriously expensive Aston parts. Another fine example of Car SOS’s tried and tested formula, showing that the beauty of classics isn’t just skin deep. Murray scullion
