Jag makes 90K over estimate

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week -

A 1957 Jaguar 3.4 made £90,000 above its estimate at Bonhams’ Goodwood Members’ Meeting sale on 19 March – eventually selling for £189,660. It took part in the 1958 and 1960 Monte Carlo rallies and was previously part of a large Japanese collection. Markets editor Richard Barnett says: ‘ This came as shock to even the most hardened followers of Jaguar saloon values.’ Tim Schofield, director of Bonhams’ motor car department adds: ‘ This largely unrestored version is a sight to behold.’
