A 1985 BMW M635CSi has become the most expensive car of its kind to sell at auction – reaching £100,100. It sold at Classic Car Auction’s sale at the NEC Restoration Show on 2 April. Bought in a frenzied bidding war at Birmingham’s NEC, it reached more than double its pre-sale lower estimate of £40,000. The M635 CSi had 15,300 miles on the clock and only two owners from new. It’s been described by CCA as being ‘totally unmolested.’ Guy Lees-Milne, general manager of CCA says: ‘We’re very proud to be associated with the fantastic show, at which we held our biggest ever auction.’
