1985 Mercedes-Benz 280SE

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Buying & Selling -

Often seen as one of the last ‘proper’ Mercedes-Benzes, the W126 was a superbly built, wonderfully engineered car that in biggest-engined 560 form was superior in most aspects to a Silver Spirit or a Bentley Turbo. The entry-level 280SE offers the same gravitas, but at considerably less cost. This car has been owned by the vendor since 1986 and has covered 70,000 miles from new. It has been dry-stored for the last five years. Solid white paint, cloth trim and ‘dustbin lid’ plastic wheel trims don’t detract one jot from this car’s character.
