Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - This Week - Murray Scullion

This delightfully off-beat model from the Oxford Automobile Company is part of its Arrive in Style range, which features the rarer marques. This lovely light blue Messerschmitt is priced at £28.95, which makes it one of the most expensive items in Oxford Diecast’s range. The model’s crowning achievement however, is the fact that its top opens to reveal a simple interior. The seats can be taken out, just like the real thing. The cyclelike steering wheel moves but isn’t connected to the wheels.

The interior isn’t hugely detailed, but the exterior makes up for it. The chrome plating detail looks good against the paintwork, and the numberplates are a nice touch. With full-size Messerschmitt KR200s starting from £20,000, they’re now out of the reach of many. This model might just keep you satisfied if the real thing is beyond your means.
