How did my Rover BRM do?

It takes a 200-plus mile round trip like this easily in its stride – comfortable and with lots of fab music on the cassette player. The idea of a BRM-badged car in the Lotus car park was interesting because, while BRM and Lotus were rivals on the race circuits, there was common ground such as the BRM bench-tested engines in some special 1960s Lotus Elans. I never tire of trips to Norfolk as it revives wonderful family holiday memories but I prefer the A149 to the A47. I still have a cherished photo that my mum took of dad in his Allegro at a caravan site in Caister-on-Sea.
