Largest gath­er­ing of the Malvern mar­que since 2009 is planned for Au­gust

Mor­gan Mo­tor Com­pany is hop­ing to at­tract more than 2000 cars from across the Bri­tish car­maker’s 108-year his­tory at the Malvern Three Coun­ties Show­ground on 26-27 Au­gust.

The spe­cial Run For The Hills show is be­ing held with the help of the Mor­gan Sports Car Club and will be the mar­que’s main event for en­thu­si­asts this year, fea­tur­ing the big­gest gath­er­ing of Morgans since the com­pany cel­e­brated its cen­te­nary in 2009.

Most ve­hi­cles at the run will be from club mem­bers and own­ers, but Mor­gan will be dis­play­ing its en­tire fac­tory col­lec­tion, in­clud­ing a 1909 replica, the first ever Aero 8, Plus 8, and Plus 4 Plus mod­els plus a num­ber of orig­i­nal Three Wheel­ers.

A Mor­gan spokesman says: ‘We will also be cel­e­brat­ing the life and work of the late Chris Lawrence, the Mor­gan rac­ing driver and en­gi­neer, with a num­ber of his­toric cars.’

Tick­ets range from £12.50 for un­der­16s for a day ticket and £20 for an adult day ticket to £55 for a week­end adult ticket, which in­cludes a con­cert. A gala din­ner can be booked sep­a­rately for £90 per head.

The week­end will start with an open house tour of the Mor­gan fac­tory be­fore a gath­er­ing at the Malvern Three Coun­ties Show­ground.
