THOUSANDS OF MORGANS SET TO RUN FOR THE HILLS
Largest gathering of the Malvern marque since 2009 is planned for August
Morgan Motor Company is hoping to attract more than 2000 cars from across the British carmaker’s 108-year history at the Malvern Three Counties Showground on 26-27 August.
The special Run For The Hills show is being held with the help of the Morgan Sports Car Club and will be the marque’s main event for enthusiasts this year, featuring the biggest gathering of Morgans since the company celebrated its centenary in 2009.
Most vehicles at the run will be from club members and owners, but Morgan will be displaying its entire factory collection, including a 1909 replica, the first ever Aero 8, Plus 8, and Plus 4 Plus models plus a number of original Three Wheelers.
A Morgan spokesman says: ‘We will also be celebrating the life and work of the late Chris Lawrence, the Morgan racing driver and engineer, with a number of historic cars.’
Tickets range from £12.50 for under16s for a day ticket and £20 for an adult day ticket to £55 for a weekend adult ticket, which includes a concert. A gala dinner can be booked separately for £90 per head.
The weekend will start with an open house tour of the Morgan factory before a gathering at the Malvern Three Counties Showground.
